Center for Civic Engagement (CCE)

CCE engages faculty and students through service learning to enhance student learning, promote civic engagement, and actively improve the El Paso-Ciudad Juarez Region. Each semester, 500 students and 30 classes work with the Center. The Center has cultivated partnerships with over a dozen nonprofit organizations, placing UTEP students in service learning placements relevant to their individual academic pursuits while helping the organizations increase their capacity to carry out their social missions. The Center is also a key part of the University's expanding Border Research Consortium.
